In the lead-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa launched Level Up Your Game – a bold campaign that brought together Team Visa Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock, pro streamer Talia Mar, and game designer Julia Spinola to create something the world hadn’t seen before.
Their challenge was to design an endless runner game where players could race as Jonnie Peacock himself—making it the first game of its kind to feature a Paralympic athlete as the central character.
To bring Jonnie’s in-game avatar to life, we built a custom photogrammetry rig, capturing high-resolution images from every angle. These were then stitched together to create a hyper-realistic 3D model of Jonnie, ready to sprint through multiple in-game environments.
The result was an immersive, fast-paced endless runner game that put inclusion and innovation at the heart of the action, allowing users to play online and compete for their high score.
Visa rolled out a series of behind-the-scenes promo videos documenting the creative journey, which ran as ads in the weeks leading up to the Games. The game was also made available online for fans everywhere to play, bringing audiences one step closer to the Paralympic spirit.
